Start with how you breathe and sleep
Your mask needs to suit your breathing, sleep position, and comfort. A mask that works for someone else may not be the best fit for you.
Common designs
- Nasal pillows sit at the nostrils with a smaller contact area.
- Nasal masks deliver air through the nose, with designs that sit over or beneath it.
- Full-face masks deliver air to the nose and mouth.
What to bring to a fitting
Mention congestion, mouth leaks, skin irritation, glasses, and your usual sleep position. Ask how to fit and clean the exact model you choose. Check the manufacturer's safety warnings, including magnet restrictions where applicable.
